The last of this 'series' that I feel like posting here, and also the last photo I'm likely to post shot with my CoolPix S52. I've just ordered a Canon 500D!

Now I intend to learn how to be a 'real' photographer.

very nice image, but having read your bit on buying a new camera and learnin to be a real photographer... I would start by saying to you, dont fake it like you have here... such an expensive and good quality camera is built to capture detail, so what's the point in blurring and smoothing it all in photoshop?
Don't get me wrong, this is a good image... its just that it looks more like a painting than a photo

I actually agree with EOS....details are often what we're looking for in a good portrait, to me this is too plastic-like

i agree with most people...the image is nice, but looks very stylized and not in a good way. it's wayyy to over photoshoped
